• Note: Reports and statements can only be copied between the same edition or higher

Option 1: Copying Reports and Statements in the program

1. Open the company you would like to copy the custom report or financial statement to.
2. Select Reports & Forms from the main menu and then select the type of report that you want to copy.
3. Click the Copy icon at the top of the window.
4. Select the company that contains the reports or financial statements you would like to copy. If that company is not displayed, click the Browse button to the right to go to that company's location and select it.
5. Below Report or Financial Statement to Copy, the selection defaults to All Reports, Statements and Templates. Note: To simplify the job of selecting your desired reports, click the drop-down arrow and select the type of reports that you wish to copy.
6. Select the report you would like to make available in the current company and click the Copy button.
7. Click OK when done.

Note:

• Optionally, enter a new report name in the New Name field if desired to copy it with a different name
• In order to copy a financial statement from a sample company, backup and then restore the sample company to a new company.
  You should now have the option to choose the sample company on the drop-down by Select a Company to Copy From

Option 2: Copying Report.DAT and RPTDATA.DAT

1. Browse to the company directory of the company you want to copy custom reports and statements from, follow How to locate company directories.
2. While pressing and holding the CTRL key, select the files REPORT.DAT and RPTDATA.DAT
3. Right-click on one of the selected files and select Copy
4. Browse to the company directory of the company you want to copy the custom reports and statements to, follow How to locate company directories.
5. Locate and right-click on the file REPORT.DAT and select Rename and name it REPORT.OLD and press enter.
6. Locate and right-click on the file RPTDATA.DAT and select Rename and name it RPTDATA.OLD and press enter.
7. Right-click in any blank area and select Paste.
8. Verify you are able to see the Custom Reports and Financial Statements from the other company in your current company.
