Entering Accounts Payable credit memos or credit invoices
Description

Credit invoices are often entered after receiving a bill adjustment, loyalty rewards, or as part of an agreement for tools, water, power or supplies.

In Accounts Payable, record credit invoices by entering negative amounts on the invoice. The program treats this as a normal invoice, and you can enter payments against them to reduce the overall payment when combined with other invoices.

You can't pay credit invoices with checks or electronic payments unless you include other invoices to offset the negative amounts.
