If any step is unclear, contact your business partner or Sage Support for assistance before you begin this process. Uninstall - Make a backup of all Sage 300 CRE program and data files.
- From Sage Desktop, go to Help and About Desktop.
- Verify CD version, revision, and update version. Locate or download the appropriate installation and update files.
- Go to Windows Start, Control Panel, Programs and Features.
- Select Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate Server and click Uninstall.
- Reboot the server and login with full administrative rights.
Optional Uninstall steps If you suspect a corrupt installation, perform these additional steps. - Rename the following folders:
NOTE: On a 32-bit OS, locate the folders under C:\Program Files\ instead of Program Files (x86) - C:\Program Files (x86)\Timberline Office
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Sage
- Rename the following registry keys:
- Open the Windows Registry Editor.
- Right-click and select Rename on each key.
NOTE: On a 32-bit OS, locate the Local Machine keys under HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\. - HKEY_Current_User\Software\Timberline
- HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Wow6432Node\Sage
- HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Wow6432Node\Timberline
Reinstall - Turn off the antivirus software during the install process.
- Begin a new server installation from the installation files.
- Verify the registration name, client number, software country.
- If you’re using Version 17.1 Rev 4 or earlier, manually reenter activation codes. Don’t use the AccActivation.xml file to import activation codes
- If you're using Versions 17.1 Rev 5 and later, use License Administration to retrieve the customer entitlement
- Enter the registration name if needed
- If the client number is incorrect, browse to C:\ProgramData\Sage\Timberline Office\9.5\Accounting\Misc folder and modify the client number in Client.txt, then restart the install
- Complete the install and reboot.
- Apply any previously installed patch updates.
- Launch Sage Desktop and log in after the System Verification finishes.
- If there were any changes to the modules installed or version, remove and reinstall the Sage 300 CRE client from a workstation.
