Parallel Migration

  1. Open Library Master, Utilities, Parallel Migration
(Migration utility can also be accessed from the Parallel Migration button in the Pre-Migration window or by using the Migrate.exe program file from within the ..\MAS90\Migration folder).
  2. Click Next and Enter the Administrator Password for the New Installation.
  3. Click Next and Enter the path for the Source Data.
  4. Enter the Administrator Password for the Source Installation and click Next.
  5. Migrate System Files: the first time you migrate, System files will automatically be migrated. During re-migration, you will be given the option to re-migrate system files. This will pull over all of the data from MAS_SYSTEM. This is not necessary during re-migration unless you want to re-migrate (replace) the System files.
  6. Migrate Visual Integrator Jobs: this option copies VI Jobs from the Source Installation to the Target installation. This is not necessary during re-migration unless you want to re-migrate (replace) the VI Jobs.
  7. Migrate Companies that already Exist: the first time you migrate, you will not get this option. During re-migration, you will be given this option to re-migrate (and thus replace) company data that was already migrated.

NOTE: If company data was migrated and users began entering and updating transactions, re-migration will overwrite the entries made in the new version.

Conversion:

  1. Open Library Master, Main, Company Maintenance.
  2. Select company you would live to convert and click the Convert button .
  3. If desired, select the Convert data for all companies check-box and click OK. Otherwise, only the selected company will be converted.
