Change amounts on deductions or fringes
Description

The Employee Deduction and Employee Fringe record take priority over the Union Setup and the setup of a Deduction or Fringe.

If you have set up Union payroll, don't change the Employee Deduction or Employee Fringe record. Instead follow the steps to update rates for Union Fringes, Deductions, and Other Pays.

Change the deduction amount per employee

Amounts entered in the steps below will override amounts entered on any Union Class tables.

  1. Go to Setup, Employees.
  2. Select your employee and press Enter twice.
  3. Click the Deducts button.
  4. Using the Up and Down arrows on your keyboard go to the deduction you wish to change.
    1. Verify that you have the correct Calc Method selected and change the deduction amount to the new rate.
    2. Verify you have the correct limit set for the deduction, if needed.
  5. Click Accept Line, Accept Table, Save, and Close.

Complete the following steps to change the fringe amount per employee.

  1. Go to Setup, Employees.
  2. Select your employee and press Enter twice.
  3. Click the Fringes button.
  4. Using the up and down arrows on your keyboard go to the fringe you wish to change.
    1. Verify that you have the correct Calc Method selected and change the fringe amount to the new rate.
    2. Verify you have to correct limit set for the fringe, if needed.
  5. Click Accept Line, Accept Table, Save, and Close.
