This article provides a list of resources for you specific to year-end processing for Sage 100.
1099 Changes to 1099 names was released last Product Updates – released September 2024
- Versions 2024.1, 2023.4 have had the 1099 name parsed into the First, Middle, Last names in the Vendor Maintenance, Additional Tab of Accounts Payable for the Individual Type Vendors. This will flow through to the 1099s in Aatrix as populated.
- Versions 2024.0, 2023.3, 2022.6 and prior still only have the one 1099 field for the 1099 Name. The 1099s that need the information will need to be edited in the Aatrix preparer grid before printing/efiling.
- For Business type 1099s, the TIN is used. If Vendor Name is not associated with the TIN, they need to enter the 1099 name for the TIN.
- For Individual type 1099s, the SS# is used. If Vendor Name is not associated with the SS#, they need to enter the First, Middle and Last name for the SS#.
- The above information should be on W-9 provided by each vendor.
IRD (Interim Release Download) 2024
***This does not include 1099 name changes above.
- IRD compatible with versions 2022.3-2022.6, 2023.0-2023.4, 2024.0-2024.1
- Update Aatrix AP form version.
- Add boxes for Tax Years 2023, 2024. (Boxes same as Tax Year 2022)
- Add boxes for Tax Year 2025.
- 1099 Misc – Removed Box 14 Excess Golden Parachute Payments
- 1099 NEC – Added Box 3 Excess Golden Parachute Payments
*****WORKAROUND: For Customers needing the AP changes above and unable to add Product Updates, do a separate installation of Sage 100 (current version). Make a copy your live data to use in current installation only for running the Tax Year 2024 forms.
Payroll 2.25
Can be installed on versions 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 - Special Attention for states HI, IA and any others that change the state W4 in the future.
- Annual WH Allowance field renamed to Withholding Allowance in Employee Maintenance, Taxes Tab.
- Currently CO has Annual WH Allowance which has not changed.
- Field is now enabled for Iowa (IA W-4 field 6) & and Hawaii (HI W-4 pending)
- For Iowa, employees W-4s should be reviewed.
- (NOTE: All Iowa filing statuses will default to None. It is suggested that users review the tax setup for Iowa employees on the Employee Maintenance Taxes Tab, especially for employees that filled out the I-4 form in 2024 and later. In Sage 100 PR2.25, an WH Allowance Amount field was added. This amount should be filled in starting in 2025. Do not use the workaround starting tax year 2025.)
- Other System File changes made to support upcoming tax reporting changes when new taxes are added. Example: Maine and Delaware new family leave taxes coming in Tax Year 2025.
- *** New Feature - Reverse entire Payroll Check Run.
Payroll Tax Update
- Run the Payroll Tax Update as prompted or soon after.
- From now through early 2025, there will be many changes in the Payroll Tax Updates. Payroll Tax Update Guide
- Run Payroll Status Check from Utilities Menu in Payroll after any Payroll updates.
