How to register the Sage Fixed Assets - Planning Network version

Find your registration information

  1. Sign in to the Customer Portal at https://customers.sagenorthamerica.com.
  2. Click Product Information, then My Active Services and Plans.
  3. Select Sage Fixed Assets from the Select a product list.
  4. Locate the Serial number in the Serial column under Activation Codes.
Note: You don't need a new activation code when you update the product version.
Note: In versions 2022.0 and later, Sage Fixed Assets retrieves registration information by using only the customer number and serial number.

Subscription plan renewal information

If you use Fusion or the Customer Portal, renewal won't update the unlocking code automatically.
Note: If you use Sage Fixed Assets version 2021.1 or earlier, update to a newer version. Newer versions update the subscription expiration date automatically. Older versions require assistance from Support or your Sales Representative.

Register by using the automated method

On the server

  1. Open Database Utility - Network Planning.
  2. Click Registration.

On a workstation

  1. Select Start, Run.
  2. Browse to: \\Servername\SFAServ\Network Client\100BCNETREG.EXE

Complete registration

  1. In the Registration Status window, click Register.
  2. Enter your Customer number.
  3. Enter your Serial Number.
  4. Click Activate.
Note:
  • You need an internet connection.
  • Customer numbers contain 10 digits and begin with 400.
  • Serial numbers contain nine digits and include a dash, for example, XXXX-XXXXX.
Verify registration
  1. Wait while Sage Fixed Assets verifies your licensed products.
  2. Click OK after verification completes.
  3. Confirm the registered products display one of these statuses:
    • Purchased
    • Subscribed
  4. Confirm the Subscription Expiration Date displays a future date.

Register by using the manual method

Open the registration utility

On the server
  1. Open Database Utility - Network Planning.
  2. Click Registration.
On a workstation
  1. Select Start, Run.
  2. Browse to: \\Servername\SFAServ\Network Client\100BCNETREG.EXE

Enter registration details

  1. In the Registration Status window, click Register.
  2. Enter your Customer number and Serial Number.
  3. Click Enter Code.
  4. Enter the Activation Code.
  5. If prompted, enter the Unlocking Code for subscription products.
Note: The serial number requires the dash format, for example, XXXX-XXXXX.
Note: Enter each four-character activation code segment manually. Move between fields by using Tab or by clicking the next field.

Enter subscription unlocking codes

Version 2021.1 and earlier
  1. Leave the populated activation code unchanged.
  2. Click OK.
  3. Enter the Unlocking Code when prompted.
Version 2022.0 and later
  1. Enter the Activation Code.
  2. Enter the Unlocking Code information.
  3. Click OK.

Verify registration

  1. Review the Registration Status window.
  2. Confirm the registered products display Purchased or Subscribed.
  3. Confirm the Subscription Expiration Date displays a future date.
  4. Click Close.
