Troubleshooting registration errors
Description

To manually register:

  1. On the server where you installed the Sage Fixed Assets Network Server components:
    • In the Database Utility - Network Depreciation & Tracking, click the Registration button
    • Or from a workstation where you installed a Sage Fixed Assets - Network Client, go to: Start, Run. Browse to: \\Servername\SFAServ\Network Client\100BSNETREG.EXE
  2. Once the Registration Status dialog is open: Click Register, enter your Customer Number and Serial Number, click Enter Code. Enter your Activation Code and, if prompted, the Unlocking Code: (subscriptions only).
    • Enter the dash in the Serial Number (for example, XXXX-XXXXX)
    • For the Activation Code, it won’t allow a copy/paste of the full string. Key each 4-character set and tab or click between the boxes
  3. If manually entering a Subscription unlocking code:
    • For 2021.1 and prior: On the populated Activation Code dialog, don’t change anything. Click OK and there will be a prompt to enter an Unlocking Code
    • For 2022.0 or higher: Populate both the Activation Code and the Unlocking code section
  4. Click OK, and you’ll return to the Registration Status dialog. You’ll see your registered products. Ensure the expected products have the status of Purchased or Subscribed and the Subscription Expiration Date: is for a future date.
  5. Click Close to exit the Registration Status dialog box.

▼Error: No internet connection:

In the case of a server having no internet connection, use the Manual Method to register. Alternatively, run the Production registration from the client as described in the Automated Method.

▼Unknown error from CE Entitlement:

There’s another Sage Product on the account making the data too long resulting in a failure. Use the Manual Method. This error can also occur if there’s no internet connection on the server.

▼Hmm...your customer account and product serial number were checked with Sage and this product is not registered. Please verify your Customer information on the Register dialog and check again. If you need account assistance, contact your Account Manager

This typically means you’re attempting to register a product you don’t have on your account (for example, Planning). Make sure you’re registering the correct product in the correct utility. Open a ticket on the customer portal if there are issues in the correct registration utility. See Create or view Sage support tickets online.

▼We encountered a problem and your software was not activated. Your Customer account was verified, however, the software activation code was not.

Use Enter Code to manually enter your Activation Code, if known, or contact your Account Manager at 1-800-368-2405: The error means the system detected your Customer number, but the serial number and activation codes don’t match. Create a ticket on the Customer Portal. See Create or view Sage support tickets online.

▼Sage licensing service locked. You have exceeded the maximum number of attempts to register your product. Verify your Customer Number and Serial Number, and try again in 30 minutes. If you need account assistance, contact your Account Manager at 1-800-368

Getting any of the above errors five times in a row will cause the portal to give this message. Contact Sage so we can provide the updated account information or fix the codes on the back-end. You’ll still need to wait the 30 minutes. See Create or view Sage support tickets online.
