| The quantity On PO is not reflecting the correct open purchase order quantity |

Steps to duplicate | This originally was submitted as Research Defect with customer data. The following are steps found by engineering upon review of that data.
Company ABC.
1. PO – Purchase Order Options. Line Entry tab. Confirm the following option is selected, Allow Qty Receive or Invoiced to Exceed Qty Ordered.
2. IM Item Maintenance. Pull up Item 6655 (Average Cost). Notice the ON PO field is .00. No Open Orders display on the Orders tab.
3. Purchase Order Entry. Create PO for Item 6655. Ordered = 2.
4. PO Receipt of Goods Entry. Create a PO Receipt for the PO created in Step 2.
- Click on the Lines tab and select NO, on the message,” Do you want to receive the complete purchase order.”
- Enter 1 in the Received field.
- Accept. Do NOT update Daily Receipt / Transaction Registers
5. PO Receipt of Goods Entry. Create another PO Receipt for the PO created in Step 2.
- Select Yes on the message, “This purchase order number already exists in receipt of goods entry number XXXXX.” “Do you want to continue with this receipt?”
- Click on the Lines tab and select NO, on the message,” Do you want to receive the complete purchase order.”
- Enter 3 in the Received field. This will create a Variance when the Register is run since the PO is for 2 and the Receipts are for a total of 4.
- Accept.
- Run the Daily Receipt Registers/Update and Daily Transaction Register
6. IM Item Maintenance.
- Pull up Item 6655.
- On the Main tab, the On PO displays as 2.00- (negative).
- On the Orders tab, Ordered = 2, Received = 4.
7. Purchase Order Entry. Create another PO for Item 6655. Ordered = 2.
8. IM Item Maintenance.
- Pull up Item 6655.
- On the Main tab, the On PO = .00
- On the Orders tab, the Ordered = 2.
9. At this point, if you run the Update Rebuild Sorts Files utility for PO, the ON PO for Item 6655 will be changed from .00 to 2. |
