Slow performance in a VMware vSphere environment
Description

Refer to the Broadcom website on how to choose a network adapter for a virtual machine.

Cause
  • Windows Server 2012 R2 virtual machine in VMware environment using E1000 or E1000e Virtual Network Card (vNIC)

 

Resolution

[BCB:328:GENERAL WARNING:ECB] 

  1. Install 'VMWare Tools' on Sage 100 Server.
  2. Reboot Server.
  3. Install 'VMXNET 3' virtual network adapter and make an active adapter.

 NOTE: Consult the Network Administrator to ensure changes made won’t affect other applications running on the server.
