Description

Cause

You are attempting to merge saved reports that are associated with different 1099 form types.

For example one of the saved reports contains 1099-MISC forms where another contains 1099-NEC forms.

Resolution

Each 1099 form type should be run separately. Each form type should have a separate 1096 form associated with it.

Do not attempt to merge files associated with different 1099 form types.
