How to install Sage 100 Contractor on the server

Resolution

Download and run the installation file 

  1. Download the installation file.
  2. Move the Sage100Contractor#####.Setup.exe installation file to your server.
  3. Right-click on the file.  Click Run as administrator.
  4. Click Next.
    •  NOTE: The installer checks your Microsoft .NET Framework version. If an update is required, restart your computer. 
  5. Select the following items to install:
    1. Sage 100 Contractor.
    2. Database Administration for Sage 100 Contractor.
    3. License Administration for Sage 100 Contractor.
    4. Sage Advisor Update.
  6. Click Install.
  7. Choose the U.S. or Canada.
  8. Click Install.
  9. Note the IP address and Server name. 
  10. Click Finish.

Activate your product license

  1. Open License Administration for Sage 100 Contractor.
  2. Click Edit Registration Information.
  3. Enter the following information:
    1. Sage Client ID: Your ten-digit customer ID number.
    2. Registration name: Your registration name (case sensitive).
  4. Your registration name must match the name in Sage's records. This information is in the emails Sage sent you.
  5. Click OK.

Install Microsoft SQL Server Express

  1. Connect to Database Administration for Sage 100 Contractor.
  2. Select the physical drive where you plan to store your data. This can't be a mapped or virtual drive.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Click Install SQL Express.
  5. The SQL Express files will download.
  6. The download finishes and will ask if you want to install it. Click OK. This process won't show any further prompts until it's complete.
  7. You'll see a window displaying your designated "sa" password. 
  8. Note this password for your records.  This is the only time you'll see this password.
