Use these same steps when installing Sage 100 Contractor on a stand-alone computer that will be the only system in the office running the software.

Download and install

1. Download the program on the server (Sage100Contractor#####.Setup.exe).
2. Right-click Sage100Contractor#####.Setup.exe and select Run as administrator.
3. Click Next.
    NOTE: The installation checks the Microsoft .NET Framework version and can restart your computer depending on the version update. 
4. Select the following items:
   • Sage 100 Contractor
   • Database Administration for Sage 100 Contractor
   • License Administration for Sage 100 Contractor
   • Sage Advisor Update
5. Click Install.
6. Choose the U.S. or Canada.
7. Click Install.
8. Note the IP address and Server name. 
9. Click Finish.

Activate your product license

1. Open License Administration for Sage 100 Contractor.
2. Click Edit Registration Information.
3. Enter the following information:
   • Sage Client ID: Your ten-digit customer ID number
   • Registration name: Your registration name (case sensitive)
4. Your registration name must match the name in the email Sage sent you.
5. Click OK.

Install Microsoft SQL Server Express

1. Connect to Database Administration for Sage 100 Contractor.
2. Select the physical drive to store your data. You can't use mapped or virtual drives.
3. Click OK.
4. Click Install SQL Express. This downloads the SQL Express files.
5. Click OK on the installation prompt after the download completes.  NOTE: This process won't show any further prompts until completion. 
6. Record the sa user's password for your records when a window appears displaying it.   NOTE: This is the only time you'll see this password.
