How to install Sage 100 Contractor on a client workstation

Resolution
  1. Log in to the workstation as a local administrator.
  2. Close all open programs and temporarily disable your antivirus.
  3. Go to \\ServerName\Sage100Con\Common\Installation folder on the server and run the Sage100ContractorXXXX_setup.exe for the latest Sage 100 Contractor version.
     NOTE: Replace the ServerName in the UNC path with your actual server name. The XXXX in the Sage100ContractorXXXX_setup.exe represents the Sage 100 Contractor version. 
  4. Read the instructions on the installation welcome window.
  5. Click Next until prompted to select an installation option.
  6. Select only the Sage 100 Contractor client software in the installation options window, ignoring other options.
  7. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
  8. After launching Sage 100 Contractor, you'll get a prompt to choose a license server.
  9. Enter the license server name or IP address; then connect to the SQL server to open the company.

 NOTE: In future, you can configure your system to prompt you automatically to update the client workstation whenever there's a server update.
