If you activated your license on your current server, it’s locked to a hardware-specific ID for that server. You’ll need to deauthorize your license for the current server and re-enter it on the new server. - On the existing server, go to Start, Sage Administration, License Administration and click Deauthorize Server. This deactivates your license. Users can't access Sage 300 CRE from their workstations until re-activated.
- When you install Sage 300 CRE on the new server, the licensing service attempts to activate your license.
- If the activation isn’t successful, go to Start, Sage Administration, License Administration. Enter your Sage Client ID and Registration Name to activate your license on the new server. Your licenses will lock to the hardware-specific ID for the new server.
If you're unable to deauthorize your license on the existing server, contact Sage Support to request they deauthorize the server. Once deactivated, you can continue with your server migration. For more information on 17.1 licensing and how it works, see How are software uses/licenses managed or added in version 17.1.5 (and later)?
