Description
Cause
Version-specific defects
Defect #110946 affects Sage 100 2018.7. Resolved in 2018.8 (6.00.8.0).
Installing Sage 100 and not converting data before printing a Library Master Report.
Defect #110950 affects Sage 100 2019.1. Resolved in 2019.2 (6.10.2.0).
Occurs in a clean installation:
After converting ABC data.
Copying ABC company to a new company.
With a Role/User set up, logging in via Administrator login (not another user login) .
Installation and data copy problems
Copying only MAS_XXX (company data) into the MAS90 folder breaks encryption compatibility in Sage 100 2018 (or later).
Installing Sage 100 2018 over an existing MAS90 directory (and not removing the MAS90 folder before the installation) causes conflicts.
Module related
Occurs in the Visual Integrator module if General Ledger isn’t set up in any company.
Resolution
[BCB:1:Backup warning:ECB]
CAUTION:
Don’t install Sage 100 version 2018 or later into an existing MAS90 folder(with contents).
Correct installation issues
Uninstall the new Sage 100 2018 or later version.
Remove the MAS90 folder and all contents.
Reinstall Sage 100 in a clean directory.
CAUTION:
Don’t copy only MAS_XXX data in version 2018 or later; this won’t work due to encryption.
Fix data copy issues
Don't copy only MAS_XXX company folders directly into a Sage 100 2018 (or later) MAS90 directory.
Remove incorrectly copied MAS_XXX folders.
TIP:
Copy both MAS_XXX and MAS_System folders. However, migration in a new installation using the existing MAS90 folder as the source is the recommended method.
