How to install Crystal Reports Reporting Server and Client - 2018.1 thru 2023.1
Description


Cause

Installing Crystal Reports for Sage will resolve Error: "Cannot determine path for crystal report designer program crw32.exe" and "We can't open Sage Fixed Assets - Reporting because the SAP Crystal Reports application cannot be located" messages when accessing custom reports.

Check in Programs and Features for:

  • Crystal Reports 2016 for Sage
    OR
  • SAP Crystal Reports for Sage
    • Version: 14.2.4.2410

Notes:


  • All Sage Fixed Assets versions 2018.1 and higher use Crystal Reports 2016 for Sage. You will not need to update Crystal Reports when updating Sage Fixed Assets.
  • You must uninstall all versions of Crystal Reports before installing SAP Crystal Reports 2016 for Sage

Install Sage Fixed Assets - Reporting Server on the Server where the Sage Fixed Assets - Premier or Network Server components are installed:

  1. For Depreciation Network or Premier Depreciation, log into the server where the current Sage Fixed Assets Network Server or Premier Server is installed.
  2. Click here to visit the download site.
  3. Click the Download link, click Run or Open the download.exe file, click Run and click OK.
    Alternatively: Use direct download. After downloading and unzipping the file, right click and Run as administrator.
  4. From the workstation with the Sage Fixed Assets Client is installed, browse to the Sage Fixed Assets Premier or Network Server's SFAServ\Crystal folder. Run the Setup.exe as administrator.
  5. Click OK, click Next, click Next, select I accept the License Agreement, click Next, click Next, click Next, select Typical, click Next, click Next.
    Note: Leave the option for Check for updates unchecked.
  6. Click Finish once the installation is complete.
