Sage Fixed Assets Premier Configuration Utility
Note: On opening the SFA Premier Configuration Utility will verify that you have Premier Server 2019.1 or higher currently installed. It requires Administrator rights.
- Open the SFA Premier Configuration Utility.
- Enter the New Password and Confirm the new password. The password must be:
- 8 to 16-character length
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one special character
- Click Apply which will write the new password to the server registry. This creates two .REG files in the same directory as the SFA Premier Configuration Utility. These files are for later use on existing Client machines.
- For example, if you placed the Utility on the desktop, the files will be on the desktop.
- Close the SFA Premier Configuration Utility.
- Open the Database Utility for Depreciation and Tracking As Admin. Log in to the MS SQL server as SA or SA equivalent user. This user will apply the new password to the SQL server.
Note: New client installations will install with the updated password.
On Existing Sage Fixed Assets Premier client systems:
- Log in to the existing client workstation as Administrator.
- Copy the appropriate registration entry file to each client machine. The system creates these files in the same directory as the SFA Premier Configuration Utility. Those files are named:
Note: Copy only the registry file you need for that workstation. - PremierClientSecurityUpdate_64.reg for 64-bit systems
- PremierClientSecurityUpdate_86.reg for 32-bit systems
- The Administrative user will need to double-click the appropriate .REG file to update the password on the client.
