How to use Microsoft Outlook to email from within Sage 100 Contractor
Description

There are several ways to launch Microsoft Outlook from within Sage 100 Contractor.

Icons and buttons for emailing via Outlook

  • Yellow Outlook icon in reports
  • Outlook icon with the email address fields of job, vendor, and client contacts
  • Outlook icon and within the 7-4 Contact Manager
  • Click the white email icon in reports and choose Outlook as the email method
  • Choosing Outlook for direct deposit, electronic fund transfer receipts, dispatch board, and Simple Time emails
  • Selecting Outlook as the email method for scheduled reports and scheduled alert emails

  NOTE: You need to configure the user permission and outlook profile to use outlook for emailing.

Considerations for scheduling reports and email alerts

  • Don't select Run the task with elevated privileges in the Scheduled Task Settings for scheduling reports or alerts
  • Select Run the task only when I'm logged in in the Scheduled Task Settings for reports or alerts setup
  • Outlook must be open at the scheduled time under the user profile that created the task

 NOTE: Version 26.1 and later addressed most issues with emailing reports and files from Sage 100 Contractor using Outlook.
