There are several ways to launch Microsoft Outlook from within Sage 100 Contractor. Icons and buttons for emailing via Outlook - Yellow Outlook icon in reports
- Outlook icon with the email address fields of job, vendor, and client contacts
- Outlook icon and within the 7-4 Contact Manager
- Click the white email icon in reports and choose Outlook as the email method
- Choosing Outlook for direct deposit, electronic fund transfer receipts, dispatch board, and Simple Time emails
- Selecting Outlook as the email method for scheduled reports and scheduled alert emails
NOTE: You need to configure the user permission and outlook profile to use outlook for emailing. Considerations for scheduling reports and email alerts - Don't select Run the task with elevated privileges in the Scheduled Task Settings for scheduling reports or alerts
- Select Run the task only when I'm logged in in the Scheduled Task Settings for reports or alerts setup
- Outlook must be open at the scheduled time under the user profile that created the task
