Important

These steps apply to versions 24.2 and later. See steps to install the client for versions 24.1 and earlier.

300CRE is only compatible with the 32bit version of Microsoft Office. Install the 32bit version of Microsoft Office prior to installing the Sage 300CRE Accounting Client.

Even if you're logged into the client workstation with an Administrator account, you will still need to right-click and run as administrator to ensure all registry entries and dependency paths create.

Installation

Complete the following sections in the order listed.

Begin Installation

1. From the client’s computer, log in as an Administrator.
2. You MUST disable your antivirus before attempting to install and of the Actian or Client components on the workstation.
3. Open File Explorer.
4. Navigate to \\[SERVERNAME]\Timberline Office.
   Note: Navigate to the installer on the server using the UNC path (\\[SERVERNAME]\Timberline Office) for the application to install correctly. Using mapped drives or IP addresses results in incomplete installations.
5. Locate the Sage300CRE ACCT Client Install file.
   • Right-click “Sage300CRE ACCT Client install” and select “Run as administrator”
   • If the Sage300CRE ACCT Client Install Shortcut isn’t available:
     1. Navigate to \\[SERVERNAME]\Timberline Office\9.5\ACCOUNTING\WinInst.
     2. Right click on Install.exe.
     3. Select Run as administrator.
6. A Splash screen will pop-up showing 3 steps which you will complete sequentially

Install Actian Zen 15 Client

1. Click Unzip letting zipped file extract to the default location in the user Temp folder.
2. Another splash screen will pop-up and you will select the first option to install the Actian Zen 15 Client.
3. The only choices during the installation are to install as an application or a service.
   • If you are installing on a regular workstation leave the default option to install as an application. (This will be the selection used for most customers).
   • If you are installing on a Citrix, RDS, or Terminal Server, you will select to install the engine as a service when prompted.
4. Once the engine is installed, close out of the Actian install screen with the multiple Actian installation options and click on the second step.

Install Actian Zen 15 Client Patch

1. Click Unzip letting zipped file extract to the default location in the user Temp folder.
2. Another splash screen will pop-up and you will select the first option to install the Actian Zen 15 Client Patch.
3. There will be no additional options, just click through the installation.
4. Once step two as been finished move on to step 3.

Install Sage 300 CRE

1. Once you click on Install Sage 300 CRE.
2. you will follow the prompts to install the Sage 300 CRE client. Any settings or configurations will be brought over during the installation automatically.

Test Installation

When the workstation restarts, log back in with the account used to install the client to ensure a complete installation. After restarting during the installation, log in to the workstation under the same account you installed with to ensure the installation is complete.
