About the Custom Fields window The Custom Fields window lists all custom fields defined for the active parent window. You use this window to view or enter values for custom fields added to that window. View or enter custom field values - Open the record window you’re working in.
- Click Edit, Custom Fields.
- View or enter values for the available custom fields.
The Custom Fields window stays linked to the active record in the parent window. Modify custom fields as an administrator If you sign in as a company administrator, you can add, modify, or delete custom fields. - Open the record window you're working in.
- Click Edit, Custom Fields.
- In the Custom Fields window, click Add.
- Define the new field in the Custom Field Properties window.
- Click Modify to open the Modify Custom Fields window.
- Click the Edit properties for this field icon in the upper left.
- You can also remove or move fields up or down using the available icons.
- Make your changes and click Save.
Keep the Custom Fields window open Click the Pin button in the Custom Fields window to keep it visible while working. The window stays pinned to the top-right edge of the parent window, even after reopening. To release it, click the Unpin button in the Custom Fields window. Access without administrator privileges If a window includes custom fields and you have access to that window, you can edit field values. You can change custom field values even if you don’t have Administrator privileges. |
