Resolution
There are several Methods available to export Sage 100. Here are 3 popular methods:
- Visual Integrator
- In Sage 100, select Export Job Maintenance
- Enter a Job Name 15 characters or less
- Click the Lookup to select the desired table to export
- Choose the File Type “Delimited”
- Click the Lookup for the Export File and browse to the desired location where the exported file will be saved
- Click the Options button and select “Display Read Only Fields For Export” and then click “Close”
- Click Data tab and select desired fields from the Available Fields window by double-clicking the field or clicking the Add Selected Field button
- After selecting the desired fields to be exported, click Accept
- Click “Yes” to execute the job and click “Accept” to export the data
- Export from Lookup
- In Sage 100, select a Lookup for desired information to be exported, i.e. Click Customer Number Lookup in AR Customer Inquiry
- Click “Custom” button in lower left corner
- Enter a name of the Custom Lookup and click Enter Key and click Next
- Select the desired fields from the Available Fields window by double-clicking the field or clicking the Add button
- After selecting the desired fields to be exported, click “Finish”
- Select the newly created view in the View Drop-down
- Click the Excel button located towards the lower right-corner
- Once the data is displayed in Excel, click File, Save As and save the file as type CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv)
- Export from Reports
- In Sage 100, select a report that contains desired data to export, i.e. AR Customer Listing
- Click Preview to preview the report
- Click “Export Report” in upper left corner
- Click Format drop-down and select Separated Values (CSV) and click OK
- Choose desired selections in the Separated Values Export Options if any and click OK
- Save the file to a desired location
Note: Visual Integrator is a Sage 100 application which must be purchased. Select Installed Modules Listing in Library Master Reports to check if Visual Integrator is installed. These options may require specific Sage 100 Roles to be executed as described. See your Sage 100 Administrator if these options are not available to you.
