Troubleshooting Slow performance when running through a UNC path
Cause
When you istalling Sage 100 workstation through a mapped drive on a Windows 7 (or later) workstation with User Account Control (UAC) enabled, the Start in path on the Sage 100 Standard shortcut is changed to a UNC path
Resolution
- For Windows 7, Set User Account Control (UAC) to Never Notify
- From the Windows Desktop, access Control Panel, User Accounts
- Select, or search for and select Change User Account Control Settings
- Verify or change the slide setting down to Never Notify
- Click OK to save changes and exit
- Uninstall the Workstation Setup client install for Sage 100
- Reboot the workstation
- Reinstall the Workstation Setup client install for Sage 100 on the workstation, using a mapped drive letter
- Example: From "M:\MAS90\Wksetup\Autorun.exe" where "M:\" has been mapped to a sharepoint
- if you do not have a mapped drive to one level above the server's MAS90 folder, you will need to create a mapped drive first.
