Error: "Year, Month, and Day parameters describe an un-representable Date Time" (during Monthly Tasks Workflow Center in Desktop)

Summary

When closing the month in the Monthly Tasks Workflow Center in the Sage 300 CRE Desktop, I receive an error about an un-representable date. The CURRENT MONTH in the workflow center displays NA.

Description

Full error message is "Year, Month, and Day parameters describe an un-representable Date Time".

Cause

The Monthly Tasks Workflow Center in Desktop, Additional Tools uses the System date. The day of the system date is beyond the day of the Current Month end date.

Example 1: System date is 12/31/2021 and month end date is 11/30/2021. The day for the system date is 31 and the day for the current month is 30. 31 is beyond 30.

Example 2: System date is 3/30/2022 and month end date is 2/28/2022. The day for the system date is 30 and the day for the current month is 28. 30 is beyond 28.

Resolution

If you need to use the Monthly Tasks Workflow Center, wait until the next month when system date day is before the month-end date day.

If you must close the month, go to the application and use the close month or close period task.
