Features of Lite Depreciation, Lite Depreciation for Sage 50, and Sage 50 Fixed Assets:

  • Lite Depreciation editions are single-user products that install locally and maintain databases on the local hard drive.
  • Lite Depreciation and Lite Depreciation for Sage 50 have a maximum of 1,000 assets per company. Sage 50 Fixed Assets can only have 200 assets per company.
  • Lite Depreciation for Sage 50 and Sage 50 Fixed Assets have built-in links to post depreciation to Sage 50 US edition.
  • Lite Depreciation doesn't have built-in bulk transactions or transfer features.
  • The merge company feature is unavailable.

Features shared between Single User and Network:

  • Single User and Network both run off of a Sybase SQL engine.
  • There’s no hard-coded limit to the asset count in a single database or company. We generally don’t recommend going over 50,000 asset per database due to performance issues.

Shared features for Single User, Network, and Premier:

  • You can add Tracking, CIP (Planning), and reporting licenses.
  • Transfers and partial transactions, bulk transactions, copy company set-up, merge companies, store asset images, and attach PDF files.
  • Compliance Monitoring (Audit Advisor).
  • U.S. tax rules with IRS regulations and forms.
  • Canadian regulations.
  • Comprehensive depreciation.
  • Replacement value.
  • MACRS convention switch.
  • T2S8 Capital Cost Allowance.
  • GASB 34/35 Compliance.
  • Utility reports for SOX compliance.

Features exclusive to Single User:

  • Installed and maintains the database on the local hard drive.

Shared features for Network and Premier:

  • Network and Premier allow multiple users and clients based on the user licensing.
  • Client licenses are on a per machine basis and not concurrent users.

Features exclusive to Network:

  • You install the Network Service on a server where the program maintains the database.

Features exclusive to Premier:

  • Runs user a Microsoft SQL server (not included). Includes Reporting as a part of the license.
  • The global task Manager (Run Depreciation\Report Across Multiple Companies in a single batch)
  • Alternative Accounting Period Support (13 period, 5-4-4, 4-5-4, 4-4-5).
  • Improved performance for companies going over 50,000 assets.
