Use the W-4 form to enter values
- Go to Payroll, Setup, Employees.
- Select an employee.
- In Employee Setup, on the Entry Info tab, click Use W-4 amounts.
- For Dependents, enter the amount from box 3 on the W-4.
- For Other income, enter the amount from box 4(a) on the W-4.
- For Deductions, enter the amount from box 4(b) on the W-4.
- If the employee specified an amount in box 4(c), see how to withhold an additional tax amount.
- For Filing Status, enter the status selected in the Personal Information box (c) section of the W-4 form.
- If they checked the box in Step 2(c), select S2, M2, or H2
- If they didn't check the box in Step 2(c), select S, M, or H
- Don't use Exemptions, EIC status, or Misc Tax Codes
- Click Save and repeat steps 1-8 for each employee.
