Resolution
CAUTION: This solution requires advanced knowledge of Windows security and network settings. Sage isn't responsible for any issues that arise from changes to these settings. Ensure you back up all system and application databases necessary for a complete restoration. It's advisable to contact a certified consultant or your system administrator for assistance.
NOTE: The error will reference the datapath in the INI file. Verify the path is correct. If not, change the data path to the correct data location. If this doesn't fix the issue, proceed to the steps below.
Verify permissions
- Verify your data file permissions are correctly set.
- If the shared name doesn’t match the folder name that is shared, reshare the folder so that the share name and folder name match.
- Verify that you can now open the program.
Network drive isn’t mapped to the correct share
- Disconnect the mapped network drive.
- Reconnect the mapped network drive; see How to map a network drive.
- Verify that you can now open the program.
If you continue to receive this error and are on a domain using Active Directory, speak with your IT consultant about correcting permissions.
