Files to allow through firewall and antivirus

Created on  | Last modified on

Summary

What file exclusions do I need to make in my firewall to ensure that Sage 50 Accounting will operate correctly?

Description

 NOTE: Don’t enable GEO Blocking.

Configuring the Firewall or proxy server allows access to the following URLs:

  • elspv.pervasive.com
  • bkpelspv.pervasive.com
  • Sage Activation URL: https://licensing.services.sage.com/lic/services/LicenseService/
  • aatrix.com

NOTE: If using a 32-bit operating system, open Program Files instead of Program Files (x86).

Allow the following files through your firewall and add to your antivirus exceptions list:

  • Ports 443, 1583, 3351
  • Located in the Program Path (by default it’s located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage\Peachtree\). See How to find data path and program path
    • Peachw.exe
    • PeachtreePrefetcher.exe
    • SmartPostingService[Version].exe
    • PeachUpd.exe
    • SageReg.exe
    • Sage.overdrive.cloudbackup.exe
  • Located in the data path: OverDriveData.txt file
  • Located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Sage Data Exchange:
    • Sage.Data.Exchange.Client.exe
    • SageOverDrive.exe
  • Located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Actian\PSQL\bin: (If using Sage 50 2022 and earlier)
    • w3dbsmgr.exe
    • w3lgo103.exe
    • NOTE: If using Sage 50 2023 and later. Located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Actian\Zen\bin:
    • zenengnsvc32.exe
    • zenengnapp.exe
    • w3lgo103.exe
  • Located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Peach\FormViewer
    • Aatrixforms.exe
    • Updater.exe
    • Updater2.exe
  • C:\Users\[Windows Username]\AppData\Local\Aatrix Software
NOTE: If AppData isn’t listed, turn on the folder option to Show hidden files and folders
  • C:\Users\[Windows Username]\AppData\Roaming\Aatrix Software
  • To enter exceptions for blocked Sage URLs that are preventing the software from downloading: Add an exception for *.sage.com
  • Under Program Files(x86) or Program Files, if a 32-bit OS, search for the file peachw.exe.config. Enter an exception for every URL found in that file

What website does the program use when it tries to activate?
