Created on  | Last modified on

Summary

Message that "Your Sage experience has changed" when opening a Sage 50 company.

Description

"Your Sage experience has changed. Connect this company to your email address to:

  • Create a secure, digital identity for your Sage products and services
  • Add customer payment options
  • Simplify reconciliation with automated bank feeds
  • Access all your services with a single, secure login"

Resolution

In Sage 50 US release 2022 and higher, companies are required to connect or "onboard" to the cloud using a Sage account. Onboarding doesn’t mean that your data is being shared or uploaded to the cloud, merely that it’s connected to your Sage account.

Onboarding is a onetime (per company) process that allows for a safer, more secure experience along with the benefits of cloud-connected services. The integrity and security of our customer’s data is a top priority for Sage. Onboarding with your Sage account will secure it one step further.

When a company is opened, a prompt will be displayed to connect the company to a Sage account email address. Log in with your Sage account email address and password, or if you haven't created an account yet, select Create account. Note: Only the primary user (data owner) can onboard the company with a Sage Account.

If you can’t onboard the company right away a 20-day grace period begins when the company is created or first opened. After the 20-day grace period, you must onboard your company dataset or it will be placed in read-only mode until the onboarding process is complete.

Issues in onboarding your Sage 50 company may be related to an incorrect user login ID or missing .NET framework installations on your machine. Refer to Error: "Before you can use this service the administrator must first connect this company to their Sage ID" or Error: "An unexpected error occurred connecting to your company" when attempting to onboard your company for assistance with these issues.
