There are several Methods available to import data into Sage 100. Here are three methods:

Visual Integrator

  • Import Job Maintenance
    • Used to create the import job
    • Select the table to import data into
    • Specify the source file you use to read the data from
  • The Data tab in Import Job Maintenance
    • Allows you to specify the fields of data you imported to and the source of that data
  • Requires ownership of the Visual Integrator module

General Ledger Exchange

  • Import GL data (not transactions) via General Ledger Exchange
  • General Ledger Exchange
    • You can only use to import and export Accounts, Budgets, and General Journal Entries
    • The functionality to import and export Transaction Journals doesn’t exist in the General Ledger Exchange
  • The Visual Integrator (VI) module
    • Use to import Transaction Journal Entries.
