How to create general ledger (GL) accounts

Summary

How to create new General Ledger (GL) on the Chart of Accounts in Sage 50 Accounting.

Resolution

  1. Click Maintain > Chart of Accounts.
  2. Enter an Account ID.
  3. Enter a Description.
  4. Select an Account Type.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Repeat Steps 2-5 for any other GL accounts that need to be created.
