What is the Sage 50 Educational Version?
- The Sage 50 Educational Version (aka the student version) is a Sage 50 desktop version. It's valid for 14 months upon registration and doesn't include the cloud-connected features.
- It’s provided to schools and educational institutions that teach Sage 50 either as a standalone course or part of their curriculum. For example, Accounting or Business Studies, and their students, who use it to train.
How do educators and students obtain the Sage 50 Educational version?
- They need to sign up with our Sage Educational Partner program. They can do so on the following websites:

What is the difference between the registration codes the educators received vs the students?
- The educator's registration codes include an Account ID, which allows them to install the educational version on as many of their labs as required.
- The student's registration codes don’t include an Account ID, and are for single use only.
Is the Sage 50 Educational Version free of charge?
- Yes, the software is free of charge.
Where do I get the data files that come with the book?
- The publisher of each textbook has a different set of files. You’ll need to contact the publisher of the book you’re using.

Why did I not receive my activation code?
- Sometimes, the email response gets blocked by your firewall/spam ware. Or the email can get sent to your junk/spam folder. If you still didn’t receive it, email [email protected]. In the email, mention what Sage 50 version/year you require.
Why is my registration code not working?
- This error typically happens when the Sage version/year you have installed doesn't match the Sage version/year key codes you’ve requested. Double-check that you've installed the correct version and then re-register for the right set of registration codes.
