- Damaged PTB file
Resolution
Section 1: Manually extract the .PTB file
- Right-click .PTB file, and then select Copy.
- Open the Sage data path and paste the backup file. Refer to How to find data path and program path.
- Right-click copied PTB file, and then select Rename.
- Change the extension from .PTB to .ZIP.
- Right-click the file and select Extract All.
- Click Extract.
- Open the newly restored company in Sage.
Section 2: Restore backup
If after following the steps in Section 1 your company is still unusable, you will need to restore a different backup file. Follow How to restore a backup.
