How do I register my software

Summary

Each module in Sage BusinessWorks comes with a 30-day grace period. After 30 days, you will not longer be able to access the product until you havae completed the registration

Resolution

 NOTE: If you do not have a packing slip, you can access your product serial # and unlocking keys from the Sage Customer Portal. If you are not already registered, click 'Sign Up for a Portal Account'.
  1. Log on to the Sage Customer Portal.
  2. Select 'Activation codes', then select your product to locate your serial# and unlocking keys.

To register your Sage BusinessWorks product:

  1. Log on to Sage BusinessWorks using Manager as the User ID.
  2. From the Utilities menu, click Registration Information.
  3. Enter the basic information about your company in the fields of the Registration Information window.
  4. In the Registration ID field, enter the Registration ID, which is a unique number from the packing list. (Also available from the Sage Customer Portal)
  5. Click Module Registration to enter serial numbers for each module you own.
  6. If you purchased network user extensions or are adding users, click Network Registration.
    • When entering a network serial number, enter the number of extensions purchased. (i.e. If you purchased a three-user extension, four users can simultaneously access Sage BusinessWorks. Enter 3 in the Number column on the registration window
    • The seventh digit of the serial number indicates how many extensions it provides; 1 is a one-user extension, 3 is a three-user extension, 0 is a ten-user extension, and 2 is a 20-user extension. (For example, the serial number BWW3LN0123456 would be for a ten-user extension)
  7. After completing all information, print the Registration Report by clicking Registration Report from the main window.

Backing up registration information:
Your product registration information is in the system files. Make sure to periodically back up the system files.
