Summary
Error: "The Sage Fixed Assets - Premier installation cannot be completed until the Premier Depreciation & Tracking and Premier Planning Database Utilities have been launched at least once. Please contact your system administrator" during the Premier Client installation
Description
Cause
- The Installation program is unable to access the MSBESTSYS.CFG or MSCIPSYS.CFG in the SFASERV directory on the Server.
- The Installation program cannot access the MSBESTSYS.CFG or MSCIPSYS.CFG because the share point is in a different folder below the server install folder, or the file is missing.
Resolution
On the server where the Premier Server components are installed:
- Verify the share point is set to the full SFAServ directory.
- Ensure the MSBESTSYS.CFG and MSCIPSYS.CFG files are located in the SFAServ folder.
- If neither of the CFG files are present see Error: “Before creating user databases, the system database must be created and properly registered with the system.” for details
- If both the CFG files are there ensure the user has Read/Write access to the Share.
- Run setup.exe from the SFAServ\Premier Client folder to install the client.
