How to undo a completed bank reconciliation in Sage 300 CRE Cash Management.
1. Finish in-progress reconciliations
Finish any reconciliations you have in progress before proceeding with the following steps.
2. Back up your data
Make a backup of your data.
3. Print the Reconciliation Register report
- From Reports, select Registers, Reconciliation Register.
- Click OK.
- Enter the Statement date of the reconciliation you want to redo.
- Click Ranges to select the bank account, then click OK.
- Click Print Preview.
- Verify the report contains all the transactions for the bank reconciliation you want to redo.
- Click Close.
- Click Start to print the report to a file or printer.
4. Adjust your Cash Management settings
- From File, select Company Settings, CM Settings.
- Select the Override opening balance in Reconcile checkbox.
- Select the Allow reconciliation status change in Register checkbox.
- Click OK.
5. Un-reconcile the transactions for the bank reconciliation that you want to redo
- From Tasks, select Edit Register.
- Select the correct bank account and then click OK.
- Refer to the report you printed in Step 2.
- Browse to one of the transactions on the report, and then click ...>.
- Under Reconciled, in the Status list, select O, and click OK.
- Repeat Steps 5.4 and 5.5 for each transaction on the report.
- Click Finish, then click Start to print the journal. You don’t need to select the Post Entries checkbox.
6. Note your previous reconciled balance and reconciled date
- From Setup, select Bank Accounts.
- Select the bank account.
- Make note of the Last reconciled date and Last reconciled balance.
- Click Close.
7. Redo your bank reconciliation
- From Tasks, select Reconcile.
- Enter the Statement opening balance and Statement ending balance for the month of the bank reconciliation. Refer to the bank statement for that month.
- Enter the correct Statement date for the bank reconciliation and click OK.
- Reconcile the appropriate transactions and click Finish.
- Click Start to print the reconciliation journal.
8. Restore your previous reconciled balance and date
Note: If you’re redoing the most recent bank reconciliation, skip to step 9.
- From Tasks, select Reconcile.
- Enter the Last reconciled balance noted above in the Statement opening balance and Statement ending balance box.
- Enter the Last reconciled date noted above in the Statement date box.
- Click OK.
- Don’t reconcile or mark any transactions. Confirm the Difference is zero (0.00).
- Click Finish.
- Click Start to print the reconciliation journal.
9. Restore your Cash Management settings
- From File, select Company Settings, CM Settings.
- Clear the Override opening balance in Reconcile checkbox.
- Clear the Allow reconciliation status change in Register checkbox.
- Click OK.
