How to install a new client of Sage HRMS

Resolution

To install the Sage HRMS client on a new machine:

  1. On the new workstation, ensure Microsoft's User Account Control Setting is set to Never Notify
  2. SageHRMS requires the Microsoft Net Framework 3.5.1 with Activation: HTTP and Non-HTTP Activation and Microsoft Net Framework 4.5.2 or higher are both activated/installed on the workstation
  3. Create a UNC path from the workstation to the SageHRMSserver folder on the network server. The default location on the server is C:\ProgramData\Sage\SageHRMSServer
  4. The SageHRMSserver folder must be shared out so that all end users have full control of this folder and all sub-files and folders
  5. Open the SageHRMSserver folder and open the Client folder
  6. Right-click on the setup.exe file and select Run as Administrator
  7. Restart the workstation as necessary and log in to Sage HRMS
