Install a new Sage HRMS client workstation

Summary

Sage HRMS installs on new workstations using files from the Sage HRMS server. Sage HRMS connects the client after the required Windows settings and frameworks are in place.

Resolution

To install the Sage HRMS client on a new machine:

 

Prepare the workstation

  1. Set Microsoft User Account Control to Never Notify.
  2. Install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 with HTTP and Non-HTTP Activation enabled.
  3. Install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 or higher.

Configure server access

  1. Create a UNC path from the workstation to the SageHRMSserver folder.
  2. Use the default path C:\ProgramData\Sage\SageHRMSServer if available.
  3. Share the SageHRMSserver folder on the network server.
  4. Grant all end users full control to the folder, subfolders, and files.

Install the client

  1. Open the SageHRMSserver folder.
  2. Open the Client folder.
  3. Right-click setup.exe, and select Run as Administrator.
  4. Restart the workstation when prompted.
  5. Sign in to Sage HRMS.
