Taxable wages are not correct for the amount of tax withheld

Summary

Taxable wages are understated.

Cause

If the Ceiling Wage and No Ceiling Wage fields are blank when creating a Transaction History entry; the taxable wages will not be included in employees' year-end totals.

Resolution

  1. From the Navigation Pane, select Payroll, Tasks, Transaction History
  2. Enter the employee ID and date of the transaction with the missing information.
  3. Enter the Ceiling Wage and No Ceiling Wage
  4. Click 'Save '
  5. Rerun the Tax Calculation Analysis report to confirm that taxable wages are correct.
