Taxable wages excluded from year-end totals

Summary

Taxable wages appear incorrect in Sage HRMS when the amount of tax withheld doesn’t match expected totals. This issue occurs when transaction history entries exclude taxable wages from year-end calculations.

Cause

Leaving the Ceiling Wage and No Ceiling Wage fields blank in a Transaction History entry excludes taxable wages from year-end totals.

Resolution

Update the transaction history entry

  1. From the Navigation Pane, select Payroll, Tasks, and Transaction History.
  2. Enter the employee ID and the transaction date with the missing information.
  3. Enter values in the Ceiling Wage and No Ceiling Wage fields.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Rerun the Tax Calculation Analysis report.
  6. Confirm that the taxable wages are correct.
