What is the CCPA?

CCPA is the California Consumer Privacy Act. Since January 2020, the Act has applied to all for-profit businesses (including sole proprietors) that meet certain requirements, and that collect, purchase, or sell personal information about California consumers. The CCPA sets out the responsibilities of businesses about the following:

1) The rules under which they must operate about personal information.
2) The rights they must give to California consumers and households concerning their personal information.
