Summary
After upgrading to 24.2 or later, reports aren’t running or taking longer to run. ODBC connections from Excel, Access and other applications retrieve data slower. Application Performance is slow on clients but is normal on the server.
Resolution
- Have the user close out of Sage completely on their workstation. If this is an RDS/Terminal Server Environment, all users need to exit out of Sage.
- Actian Performance Configuration:
- On the machine having the issues, go to Windows Start button, Actian Zen, Zen Control Center & Documentation.
- Once the window opens, click Configure Microkernel Router.
- This opens the Properties for Microkernel Router window.
- Click Performance tuning on the left.
- Check the box for Use Cache Engine.
- Click Apply, then Close.
- Reboot the machine.
- Don't reopen Sage 300 CRE when the machine loads.
- Post PSQL Installation:
- Open File Explorer.
- Browse to \\CustomersServerName\Timberline Office\9.5\ACCOUNTING\WinInst\Prerequisites\Post PSQL Install.
- Right-click PostPSQLInstall.exe and select Run as administrator.
- Test performance.
