Warning: Only copy the company data folders, not the folder called Company (location of all company data folders). Refer to How to locate company directories.

Refer to How to find data path and program path to identify the data path.

1. On the old server, copy your company data folders and the Forms folder,
2. Transfer the company data folders via Flash Drive, CD or shared folder.
3. Paste the folders into data path of the new server or computer allowing it to over-write the Forms folder.

If you receive Error: "Sage 50 cannot connect to its database Pervasive on computer [old server name]", the locator file ~pvsw~.loc file contains a reference to the old server. To resolve the error, delete the ~pvsw~.loc file from each company folder, and then open the company in Sage 50.

Note: If you only have a few companies you can also restore your companies' backup files to the new server. Refer to How to restore a backup.
