NOTE: Install Sage 50 Accounting on the server or host computer first before installing on workstations (clients). See Sage 50—U.S. Edition-Network installation instructions. Update an existing workstation after installing on the server - When opening the program on the workstation after the server update, it typically prompts to install the update. If not, however, you can install the update manually

Advanced options - Install using the Network Installation Manager - At the server, set folder permissions on the PeachtreeInstaller{Year#] folder (located by default in the Program Path).
- Find the program path on the server.
- Verify your data file permissions are correctly set to allow Full-Control access to the PeachtreeInstaller[Year#] folder.
- At the workstation, press the Windows+R keys to open a Run line.
- Type \\ServerName (where ServerName = the actual computer name of your server) and click OK.
- Double-click the PeachtreeInstaller[Year#] folder.
- Double-click the Peachw folder and then double-click the Install folder.
- Right-click _setup.exe and select Run as administrator.
- The setup will begin selecting the settings from the Server.
Note: Advanced options - Install to a desired data location and/or change the program path - Follow Steps 1 through 4 above to access the PeachtreeInstaller[Year#] shared folder.
- Right-click Setup.exe, and then select Run as administrator. This will start the install wizard.
- Follow the prompts to install and read the license agreement, clicking Next.
- Enter the serial number and click Next.
- When asked Will this be the only computer running Sage 50?, answer No and click Next.
- For the Sage 50 Company Data Files Storage, select A different computer on the network is the server and will store Sage 50 company data.
- Place a check mark next to I confirm that Sage 50 has already been installed on the server and click Next.
- On the Company Data Files Location screen, you can select a mapped drive or click Find a Computer to map the drive.
You can also use a UNC path for the data path (this is the preferred method). - Click Next and select the program files directory. It’s best to leave this as the default directory.
- Confirm that the company data location is correct and click Install.
