If you find corrupt data, restore your files from the last full backup created before the abort. Review the Log Viewer for abort details Follow these steps to locate the abort information in the Log Viewer: - Access the Log Viewer from Desktop, Tasks, Common Tasks, Tools, Log Viewer. You can also access it from the application's Tools, Log Viewer menu.
NOTE: The Log Viewer isn’t available in Purchasing, Inventory, or Service Management. - Scroll right to view all messages.
- From the Filter list, select not filtered.
- In the Search field, enter abort, then press Enter.
NOTE: If no results appear, search for minidump. Ignore any File previously aborted entries. - Note the Date, Time, Task, and User for each relevant log entry.
- Clear the Search field, then press Enter.
- Scroll to the logged Date and Time to review tasks and messages around the abort or minidump.
- Search the Sage Knowledgebase for the specific abort errors to resolve it.
Identify tasks that use transaction rollback Use the rollback documentation to confirm if the task uses rollback protection. Continue processing if the task supports rollback. Reconcile open files if the task doesn’t support rollback. You can contact Sage Support if unsure. Reconcile affected applications Reconcile the applications linked to the interrupted tasks. Contact your certified Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate Consultant if you need help. Restore your backup files if you can't confirm the transactions during reconciliation. Clear the error message Select OK to clear the error. Select and clear the warning message by clicking OK several times. Remove the recurring error message Log out all users. Log into Sage Desktop with an Application Administrator account. Run the task that caused the error. Select the option to stop the warning from appearing again. Close Sage, then log in as a standard user to confirm the message doesn’t appear. Post entries or unlock files Post entries or unlock files when the application ends unexpectedly.
