How to print journals and registers to PDF files with Paperless Office

Enable Electronic Delivery and PDF Storage

  1. Expand Modules, Paperless Office, and Setup.
  2. Double-click Paperless Office Options.
  3. Select the Journals and Registers check box under Enable Electronic Delivery and PDF Storage.

Set Up Journal and Register Maintenance

  1. In Setup, double-click Journal and Register Maintenance.
  2. Select a company code or All Companies.
  3. Select a module code or All Modules.
  4. Select a document or All Documents.
  5. Click the Browse Directory button and choose the folder for storing PDF files.
    • Ensure the path is on the same server as Sage 100 ERP.

Configure PDF Creation and Security

  1. Select an option from the Auto Create PDF list:
    • Yes: Always print to PDF.
    • No: Always print to hard copy.
    • Prompt: Choose each time.
  2. Select Password Protect options: Prompt, Yes, or No.
    • This field is available only if you select Prompt or Yes in Auto Create PDF.
  3. Enter a password in the Password and Confirm Password

Add Associated Documents (Optional)

  1. You can add Attachments to each journal/register.
  2. Specify a default directory for attachments.
  3. Change the location when printing if needed.

Print, Email, or Fax Documents

  1. Expand Modules, Paperless Office, and Main.
  2. Double-click Journal and Register Viewer.
  3. Double-click a document to view it.
  4. Print, email, or fax the document.

 NOTE: You can’t print to PDF and hard copy at the same time.
