How to print reports to PDF using Paperless Office

  • Set preferences for Paperless Office:
  1. Expand Modules, Paperless Office, and Setup. Double-click Paperless Office Options.
  2. Select the Reports check box under Enable Electronic Delivery and PDF Storage, and click Accept.
    Note: For more information on Paperless Office Options, click the Help button, and then click About this Window.
  3. In Setup, double-click Report Maintenance.
  4. In the Company Code field, enter either a company code or All.
  5. In the Module Code field, enter either a module code or All.
  6. Select either the desired report or All Reports from the Document list. ("All Reports" populates the Document field if the "All Modules" option is selected.)
  7. Click the Browse Directory button, and select the folder to use for storing the PDF files.
  8. Select an option from the Password Protect list, and define a password if desired.
  9. Click Accept.
  10. If the "All Companies" and "All Modules" options are not selected, repeat the above steps for all desired company, module, and document combinations.
  • Print a report to PDF:

The steps below use the A/R Customer Listing as an example.

  1. Expand Modules, Account Receivable, and Reports. Double-click Customer Listing.
  2. Select Paperless Office from the printer list in the lower-left corner of the window.
  3. Click Print. The Paperless Office Selection window opens.
  4. Select the desired options, and then click Proceed.
    Note: To use the e-mail and fax options, they must be configured in Company Maintenance. For more information, see Help:
    1. Expand Library Master and Main. Double-click Company Maintenance.
    2. Click the Help button, and then click About this Window.

Note: A form code other than Standard must be used to save the Paperless Office selection in the printer list.

  • View a report in the Report Viewer:
  1. Expand Modules, Paperless Office, and Main. Double-click Report Viewer.
  2. Click Refresh if the Report Viewer check box under Load Data on Initial Viewer Access is not selected in Paperless Office Options.
  3. Double-click a report to view it. Reports can be printed, emailed, or faxed from this task.
