Deductions, Fringes, or Pays are missing from Box 12 or 14 on my W-2 forms (W-2 form not set up correctly)
Description

Cause

The W-2 form was not set up to print in Box 12 or 14

When a W-2 form is created (Tools, Modify Forms, W-2 Forms), box 12 and 14 are blank. If a value needs to print in one of these boxes, set it up when you modify the form in Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate.

Resolution
Set up a Formula, Pay, Deduction, or Fringe ID in box 12 or 14 on the W-2 form:
Note: Federal and state taxes are added to the W-2 form automatically. If a tax is missing from your W-2, confirm that you are on the latest version of Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate and see the links below.

  1. In Payroll, from the Tools menu, select Modify Forms, W-2 Forms.
  2. Select the W-2 form, and click on the Amounts tab.
  3. Click the box where you want the value to print.
  4. Select Pays, Deducts, Fringes, or Formulas.
  5. Double-click the correct ID or formula.
  6. Enter the appropriate W-2 code for the box content description.
Tip: For a full list of box 12 codes, see the Payroll Help Topic "About box 12 on W-2 forms." For a full list of box 14 codes, see the Payroll Help Topic "About box 14 on W-2 forms."
  7. Click Save and Close.
