| Error: "Printer not activated. Error Code -30" occurs when printing to TS PDF Generator |
Cause | Common causes: - Printing to the TS PDF Generator instead of printing to file
- Inadequate permissions
- TS PDF Generator installation is corrupted, did not get created during the install process, or was accidentally removed
|
Resolution | Option 1: Verify if Print to File works with other printers (e.g., Microsoft XPS Document Writer) - In Sage, follow the steps until you're at the Print Selection dialogue box.
- Select Printer Setup, and then in the Printer field, select a printer driver other than TS PDF Generator.
- Check the box for Print to File, then Select File.
- Change the Save as type to the desired format.
- Follow the rest of the steps to create the file.
If the above procedure is successful, the issue is isolated to the TS PDF Generator print driver. In that case, go to Option 4 to remove and reinstall the TS PDF Generator printer driver. Option 2: Set Sage 300 CRE Desktop app to Run as Administrator - Locate the Desktop app (default location C:\Program Files (x86)\Timberline Office\Shared, or in the Windows search field, type Desktop to locate the app).
- When you've located the app, right-click it and select Properties.
- Select the Compatibility tab.
- Click Change settings for all users button at the bottom
- Under settings, check the option Run this program as an administrator.
- Click Apply and then OK.
Option 3: Set default printer - Sage Desktop
- Under Common Tasks, File, Printer Setup.
- In the Printer Selection window, select your default printer from the drop-down.
- TS Main
- Under File, Print Setup.
- In the Printer Selection window, select your default printer from the drop-down.
Option 4: Uninstall and reinstall PDF Driver Option 5: Install locally on Remote Desktop Workstations Remote Desktop Workstations should have the PDF Generator locally installed. If it does not: - Copy the Printer driver from the network location: \ServerName\Timberline Office\9.5\Accounting\Wininst\Prerequisites\PDF Converter\RunAmyunillnst.exe.
- Paste on to the local Desktop and run to install.
Note: Some Remote Desktop users will have Printer Redirection setup. They can disable this in the Remote Desktop app using the instructions below: - Go to Administrative Tools.
- Open the Remote Desktop Services folder.
- Select Disable device redirection for the following client device types.
- Place a checkmark at Printers.
- Click OK.
