The Automatically print journal to file option doesn't work

Cause
  • Invalid File Location for Printouts
  • Unchecked Automatically print journal to file under Options
Resolution

File Location

Use a UNC path to set the Data Folder path for Printouts to a valid location in File Locations (File, Company Settings, File Locations).

CAUTION:

Don’t change any other File Locations settings. Review considerations and warnings before modifying File Locations.

Setting

  1. Go to Tools, Options, and the Journals tab.
  2. Verify that you checked the Automatically print journal to file option.
  3. Verify that you specified a Journal Folder and a Journal File.
