| Where do I run or get the MyAssistant Designer download? |
Resolution |
Keep in mind that MyAssistant Designer isn't a program to run or to download, but is instead, a license.
- If you ran SetupServer.exe or chose the Server option when running autorun.hta while at the server, you can still activate the Designer license on that server. The server then becomes the Myassistant Designer/server computer.
- If you ran SetupWorkstation.exe or chose the Workstation option when running autorun.hta while at the workstation or terminal server, you can still activate the Designer license on those computers. The computer you activate the Designer license on then becomes the Myassistant Designer computer.
Note: There are three MyAssistant licenses, listed below. When you activate a license, it is linked to the Windows profile/computer name that it was activated to. If you wish to change the Windows profile or the computer, contact Sage support so we can release the specific license, thereby allowing you to activate it on a different Windows profile and/or computer.
- Server (always activated at the server - typically the Sage 300 CRE server)
- Designer (can be activated anywhere, but is usually on the Windows profile of the user who is going to be designing and modifying tasks)
- MyAssistant (this is usually activated on a workstation, of a user who wishes to receive MyAssistant notifications once tasks are run or are ready to run)
So how do I launch MyAssistant Designer?
- Log unto the Windows profile and computer you previously activated the MyAssistant Designer license on, or to the computer you wish to activate it on.
- Launch the MyAssistant Designer by running the icon called MyAsisstant.
- If launching this program for the first time, it will prompt you to enter a Customer Name and a MyAssistant Product Key. Enter the MyAssistant Designer activation key that was provided to you when you purchased the software. If you do not know this number, check with your controller or contact Sage support.
- If you previously activated the regular MyAssistant product key on this Windows profile/computer name combination and wish to change the product key to the MyAssistant Designer one, or vice versa:
- Launch MyAssistant.
- Click File, Options.
- In the next window, change the MyAssistant Product Key field to match the appropriate license key you wish to update it to.
- Click Activate or Reactive.
- Click OK and restart the MyAssistant application.
