Resolution | Contact Sage Customer Support using the Chat with Support link below to receive your product code. It’s crucial to enter the correct product code. Failing to do so will allow only one user to access the program at a time.
If upgrading from an earlier version - You won’t see a prompt for a product code
- If prompted for a product code, it’s possible that you’re installing on the client instead of the server. Alternatively, a different user performed the installation on the server instead of the original installer
If you have the program installed on a network - Install downloads and upgrades directly on the server
- If you are at a workstation, stop and start the installation at the server
- When installing on a client workstation, you will not need the product code. If you receive the prompt for a product code, stop the installation and browse to the server and run the client setup
Migrating to a new server or installing and reinstalling on the same computer - Selecting Network installation will prompt you to enter the product code
- There are two product codes Workgroup (WG) and Client Server (CS)
- To determine the product code to use on the old server, go to Utilities, Registration Information, Network Registration. In the bottom left, if it shows NT Server the product code is CS. If it shows Workgroup, the product code is WG.
