How do I change the default location for my reports?
Description
Cause
File Location settings control where the reports are saved or accessed.
Resolution

Set the default File Location for Reports:

  1. From the File menu select, Company Settings, File Locations.
  2. In the window that pops up, scroll down to Reports field.
  3. Enter the correct file path for your Reports.
  4. Click OK.

Note: It is recommended that you use a UNC (Universal Naming Convention) path rather than a mapped network drive. If there is no path for the Reports file type in File Locations, Sage 300 CRE will automatically look in the default location for a report under \\ServerName\TIMBERLINE OFFICE\9.5\ACCOUNTING\Report.

Individual reports may be saved to a specific location by saving the default path in the report in Report Designer.

WARNING: Do not change any other File Locations settings. Refer to article 35405 DocLink: How do I change an existing file location? for considerations and warnings.
